Bugün büyük gündü, Silivri'deydik. 6 senedir süren Ergenekon tiyatrosu, 67'si tutuklu 275 sanık, son derece şaibeli deliller, güvenilmez tanıklar, rehin alınan bir millet, kendi Cumhuriyet'ine darbe yapmak için böyle düzmeceler tezgâhlayan, bu uğurda mahvetiği hayatlara hiç mi hiç aldırmayan bir hükümet.
Dışarıda haksızlıklara tahammül edemedikleri için ülkenin dört bir yanından gelen canı burnunda vatandaşlar, içeride "müebbet" istemiyle yargılanan aydınlar, gazeteciler, bilimadamları, askerler, arada çift sıra demir parmaklıklar ve tam teçhiz polisler. Ne olmasını bekliyordunuz?

Today was the big day, and we were at the gates of the Silivri "concentration camp" as planned. The Ergenekon trials have been dragging on for 6 years now; there are 275 defendants, 67 of which have been in custody for years- a sordid tale of suspicious evidence, unreliable witnesses, a nation held hostage, and a government that will stop at nothing to stage a reactionary coup against its own Republic and remains totally callous towards lives and careers it destroys in the process.
Outside a people on edge, come from all corners of the land to vent their frustration at the gross injustice and the selling out of the nation, inside intellectuals, journalists, academicians, and officers under the real threat of life sentences, seperating them a double row of metal fences and policemen in full gear. What do you think happened?
